There has been much apprehension about changes coming this summer on my street. Our street has been selected for a full reconstruction. My wise friend has suggested I take it as it comes and view it as an adventure. Thus this blog begins.
As you can see from this shot, mailboxes are conspicuously missing. They have all been removed for future install when the project is completed. Our normal mail will be among a row of temporary mailboxes set-up for our street.
The mailman as been kind and assured me that packages will be not be left at the temporary place.
This week also, tree removal has begun. The big equipment has been brought in. And road closed signs are staged and ready.

They remind me of my childhood mailbox. (One of a row of boxes for nearby farms at a cross road near our house.)
